APEX Analytix would like to congratulate Kerry Webber for being randomly selected to win the Mac Book Pro. During the Fusion Conference, Kerry, along with almost sixty others, put their business cards in a large bowl hoping to win the Apple lap top.
Everyone at APEX wants to again thank everyone who participated in the contest. Please follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn to find out more on upcoming events and contests.
The Elite conference was a great success. Attendees got as much out of the networking opportunities during breakout sessions, social events, and breaks as they did from the conference programming itself. Elite was the second conference where APEX “Live Tweeted” to the participants as well as those who follow @APEX_Analytix as part of a new social media strategy.
Guests departed from the hotel and were on their way back to their country. APEX Analytix was very fortunate to having guests from all over the world attend Elite. Thank you to everyone who participated in Elite.
Monday June 10th,
The day started early when guests came down from their rooms for a light breakfast served in the hotel event room. After filling up on breakfast, the group gathered around and watched APEX Analytix’s CEO, Steve Yurko, present his Fast and Furious: The Increasing Pace of Change in Procure-to-Pay and Financial Shared Services. The presentation was very entertaining and allowed great interactions between Steve and the guests. John Hall was next to present and he also did a great job. A coffee break was needed after the presentations but then the group sat back down to begin the next activity on the day.
After stretching their legs and getting some coffee, guests were encouraged to lead their own discussions in the groups they were broken up to. This was a great chance for the different companies to communicate with each other about their goals and problems they might be facing. Lunch was provided at the Le Meridien and the roundtable discussions were a great success and the group was now ready for dinner at the famous Gundel Restaurant.
The Gundel Restaurant is one of Budapest’s most famous restaurants. It was opened 1894 and has hosted many artists, athletes, writers, and various celebrities on a regular basis.
Sunday June 9th
Today was the first full day in Budapest for the annual Elite Conference. Guests arrived Saturday night and were welcomed by the APEX staff with gifts and information. After a night’s rest, guest and APEX meet in the lobby at 11:00 to go over the rest of the day and prepare for the sightseeing activities they chose. During this time, a Hungarian band and dancers helped welcome everyone to the hotel. It was a great way for all of us to learn about their heritage and we all enjoyed it. The two choices for activities for the day were to go on a sightseeing coach tour of Budapest or a walking tour of the Castle District. The group split up and APEX staff led their groups for the day as they went through the historical parts of Budapest.
After a long fun-filled day, guests were brought back to the hotel to get some rest and get themselves prepared for another day tomorrow.
